I wonder who made those rules one day to open those competitions. It's beautiful but I can imagine so many talented artists lose their happiness in creating nails when it comes to competitions.

I like the length of my nail beds just not the width. My thumbs r roughly 15mm n they're almost 21mm long

In the competitions does it have to be acrylic or can it be all the other stuff that's out there now? Just curious

So many good tips just for a refresh on the technical skills such as the measurements. This is useful even for salon sets and techs. Good foundational skills to master.

Not all products are created equal. Is there a specific brand of products that is used in competition?

I don't think I'll ever be entering any competitions as I'm not even a certified tech (just a diy enthusiast) but i *love* these kinds of videos from you. You're so knowledgeable about all the many tiny specific details that go into sculpting and just anything to do with nails. I could listen to you talk about this stuff all day lol. I’m in the middle of doing my first nail competition online only with Nailympia London this year. One day I might try a timed competition but for now I’ll stick with the untimed ones. Thank you for this video it does help out a lot.

A Greta video. in that competitions that I start we can't use electric files and no top gels. all polished by hand no scratches at all. in my salon I totally stop doing French after this but when I see your video my fingers start tickling. I win 2 European titles but stop competetitions cause I never find a model that I love to work with.

Why do they call it pink and white instead of just French?
